Ardhnarishwar Temple:-
The Ardhnari
sanctuary at Mandi is relatively a present day sanctuary. The right
50% of the stone picture in the sanctuary speaks to Lord Shiva and
the left a large portion of his consort Parvati. Shiva has his run of
the mill tied hair and wearing a wreath of skulls, a laced serpent, a
musical instrument in one hand and a Damru or drum in the other. The
perfect consort Parvati is demonstrated wearing a diadem, a couple of
studs and a ring on the nose. The symbol is all around executed from
all measures. There is a section joined to the picture on which the
vehicles or Vahan of the divinities the bull and the lion, are
masterfully cut. The pictures of "Bhairon" and Lord Hanuman
are additionally there.
The sanctuary
comprises of a cella, yard and a mandap. The carvings of the
sanctuary are of a high request. Ardhnari symbols are fairly uncommon
in Northern India and the vicinity of this symbol here is somewhat
unusual.
