About Mandi

Mandi is mainly known as Mandav Nagar. It is situated in 153 kilometers north from the state capital, Shimla. Mandi is connected to Pathankot through the National highway Number 21. It is the largest city of the Himachal Pardesh and total area of 23 kilometers. The city is the currently second largest economy in the state next to Kangra. Mandi is the third largest population state after the Shimla and Solan. Indian Institute of Technology is situated in the city. The city was established by the Ajbar sen. The city is widely known for its international festival names as Shivaratri Fair.
