The royal residence post, Sujanpur Tira is arranged at a separation of 22kms from Hamirpur town and touches the Kangra fringe. The post was assembled by Raja Abhay Chand of the Katoch tradition of Kangra in 1758. For over a century, Sujanpur Tira remained the illustrious living arrangement for the Katoch line. The fortress in the mid nineteenth century was likewise the living arrangement of Raja Sansar Chand, why should figured be the benefactor of Kangra School of scaled down artworks.
Sujanpura Tira houses five sanctuaries and a corridor called Baradari, where the court was held in the domain of Sansar Chand. The passageway of the fortress is a noteworthy one with indications of some astounding divider works of art over it. The principle fascination of the fortress is the Gauri Shankar Temple that is inside of the regions of the castle. The sanctuary is devoted to Lord Shankar and Goddess Parvati and has an extensive number of divider artistic creations executed in the accuracy.
