About Shimla

Shimla is a beautiful capital of Himachal Pradesh, situated in north of India. After the independence, the Lahore was given to Pakistan and Shimla become the capital of Punjab, which was laterally the capital of Himachal Pradesh (H.P). The name of Shimla derived from the Shyamala Devi goddess. Shimla contained aproximately nineteen states such as Mahlog, Kuthar, Kunihar, Kumharsain, Jubal, Dhami, Bhajji, Bija, Balsan, Baghal, Sangri, Bashahr, etc. There are number of collages and institutions or various temples in Shimla. During the time period of 2005, Shimla hosts the mountain biking race named as MTB Himalaya, which is the biggest event in South Asia. In the year of 1906, Kalka-Shimla railway line was constructed, which increase the popularity of Shimla.
